PRAYER OF SALVATION

Also known as the Sinners Prayer, the Prayer of Salvation is the doorway to becoming a Christian. You are making a decision to follow Jesus and to open your heart to his teachings and his will for your life. A decision you will not regret!

Within the Prayer of Salvation, you are acknowledging that you have made bad decisions in your life and you are asking for his forgiveness, repenting of your rebellion against God. You are choosing to believe in him, to turn your life towards him and to accept him as your Lord and Saviour. 

The Prayer of Salvation does not need to be said word for word, its merely a guide to help us get off the starting block, and to invite him into our lives. Speak from your heart and add anything else that you feel may be important or relevent to your new relationship with him, and he will save you.  all true followers of Jesus also will get baptised in water.  In order for us to enter into the kingdom of God, we must be born again in water and Spirit.  Acts 2:38 says repent and be baptised into the name of Jesus for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the HolySpirit.. it’s important we call upon the name of the lord and are baptised, then we find a good church and walk with others and be Discipled. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life

If you can, please read this prayer aloud, as the bible tells us:
'that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.' Rom 10:9 NKJV

Prayer of Salvation

Dear Lord,
I admit that I am a sinner. I have done many things that don't please you. I have lived my life for myself and tried to do things my own way. I am sorry and I repent.
I ask you to please forgive me, I want to trust and follow you as my Lord and Saviour.
I believe that you died on the cross for me, as payment for my sin, and that you defeated death and rose again on the third day.
You did what I could not do for myself. I come to you now and ask you to sit on the throne of my heart, help me to do things your way, according to your perfect will for my life.
From this day forward, help me to live every day for you and in a way that pleases you.
Please fill me with your Holy Spirit, and guide me in all truth and understanding.
I love you Lord and thank you, and declare that by your blood, I am saved.
Amen.
